Mann had an interview on Black Radio to talk about new single, career, rumours about his participation in a Canadian reality show, and his highly anticipated Lava Tour, which promises a more adult and contemporary show. Mann had an hour long interview in which he revealed some personal secrets, and told the listeners everything behind the scenes of season 3 of La Cyber Academia, which will end next month. mannofficial.com brings you some highlights in English.

BLACK RADIO: Mann, did you ever think when you were younger you would make it this far in your life?

MANN: Not really, no. I mean, when I was younger I was very insecure. I had no confidence. I had to learn to love myself to get to where I am now. Of course I had the dream to do what I do now, but based on how I saw myself I didn’t truly believe I could. Now I am just enjoying it.

BLACK RADIO: Girls are asking us nonstop, do you have a girlfriend?

MANN: (Laughs) No, I don’t. I am always on the go, I can’t commit to a relationship. I think that based on my job and my personal life I can’t provide what I would like to give in a relationship. I am of course open to the possibility, but it just hasn’t happened yet.

BLACK RADIO: So, Mexican girls, you just heard from him, don’t even think about it. Canadian girls have it easier it seems. You agree?

MANN: Well, I’m going on tour in May to Mexico for three months, so I’m sure girls can go to my shows and see me there.

BLACK RADIO: Let them know when you’re gonna be on the street so they can go find you.

MANN: Sure, sure.

BLACK RADIO: According to some inside sources you are currently on a reality show in Canada, right? Can you tell us more about that?

MANN: I am constantly involved in television. I had my own reality show in MCB Network in Texas in 2010, but I can’t tell you anything right now.

BLACK RADIO: We know it’s true, it’s not like anyone is listening, right guys?

MANN: What I can say is that I am not in a music reality show, and the television I like to do has a more human side.

BLACK RADIO: How is La Cyber Academia doing this season? Are you happy with the results?

MANN: I think this show is an extraordinary platform to show talent all across Latin America. I am perfect for my job as a mentor, because I started with nothing and I know how frustrating it can be. But I love reading their homework and envision them in a few years in the music industry.

BLACK RADIO: Do you think it is more a popularity contest than a talent show?

MANN: It’s both. If their performance is good the judges will move them forward, if they are sent to elimination because they failed then it’s up to the audience to decide.

BLACK RADIO: Judges are meaner than ever, what is your opinion about them?

MANN: Well, I think the four of them have a reason to be there. Each one is good in certain areas and that balances out the judging panel.

BLACK RADIO: What do you wanna tell to hopefuls in the music industry?

MANN: This career is a job, not a hobby. If you really want it, then you need to work for it. Also, stay grounded, if you think you are the last cold soda in the desert then you won’t make it very far. if this is truly what you want, treat it with love and respect.

BLACK RADIO: What can you tell us about your upcoming tour?

MANN: Starts in May, stayed tune on my website for dates. It’s gonna be a great show, more adult. Stay tuned.
